1. Do I need to replaced my OEM reverse camera/ does the player support my OEM reverse camera?

If your OEM reverse camera is not 12VDC with AVI output it will not work unless you buy an retention adapter. 

If you decide to keep your existing camera be aware that if it is low resolution it will look stretched out and grainy on a much larger and sharper screen android systems.  Our AHD reverse camera has excellent low light performance and wide angle lens at 130 degrees.

2. How to connect the reverse camera to my player?

Note: lf your car has the Canbus system and the G5 has been connected to the Canbus decoder on your power cable, then you do not need to connect the red wire (Reverse Control) on the reverse video cable.

3. I have connect the reverse camera correctly, but when I am reversing the screen shows “NO SIGNAL”.

Please make sure you have connected the camera AV cable to the CAM VIN cable.

HC series product only support 720P camera or CVBS camera, if you buy a AHD 1080P camera, please replace it to 720P.

For S series, please check if the backcar mode is correct. Following Car Settings-Backcar-Backcar mode. You can try to set to AHD720P25 or AHD1080P25.

4. I have connected the reverse camera correctly, but when I am reversing the screen is blurred.

For S series, please check if the backcar mode is correct. Following Car Settings-Backcar-Backcar mode. You can try to set to AHD720P25 or AHD1080P25.

For some car models, the engine will have electromagnetic interference to our reverse camera , please try to reverse when your car’s engine is off, and see if the image is correct. If the image is correct when your car’s engine is off, you need to add a filter between reverse camera power wires and your car’s reverse lamp.

5. The player does not switch to reverse mode when reversing.

A.  Without CANBUS system cars. 
Please manually connect the G5 pin “back car” wire (pink or brown color) to the red wire from the reverse camera AV cable. 

B.  With CANBUS system cars.
Please connect the CANBUS decoder to player power cable, and connect the 8pin CANBUS plug to the back of our player.

Also you need to set the CANBUS car model
S series following: Car Settings-Factory-8888 ok-Car model-
HC series following: Settings-Car Settings-Factory-000000 ok-CarType Settings-

Very few car models with CANBUS system also need to connect the G5 pin “back car” wire (pink color) to the red wire from the reverse camera AV cable, just as the A solution indicates.
 

6. How to mirror my reverse camera?

For HC series following: Settings-Rear Mirror
 

7. I do not install a reverse camera, so I don’t want the player switch to reverse mode when reversing.

8. I want/ don’t want the music mute when reversing.

For S series following: Car Settings-Backcar-backcar mute-on/off.
For HC series following: Settings-Car Settings-Volume-Media volume when reversing.

9. How to turn on/off reverse line?

For S series following: Car Settings-Backcar-Backcar ruler- on/off
For HC series following: Settings-Car Settings-Reverse Line-on/off.
