S Series Upgrade totorial

(The detail steps are as follows)

Step 1

Click “Car Settings” APK, and then click “About”

Step 2

Check the DSP IC and Radio IC in your player.

The DSP IC should be BU32107 or BD37534,The Radio IC should be TDA7708 or TSC4745.

This is very important since different IC need to upgrade different MCU. The wrong MCU document can lead to no sound issue.

Step 3

Please download the firmware from the below link, all S series product use the same firmware. The firmware document name is <update>.zip

① If the DSP IC is BD32107 and radio IC is TDA7708, please download the MCU from below link.

② If the DSP IC is BD37534 and radio IC is TSC4745, please download the MCU from below link.

③ If the DSP IC is BD32107 and radio IC is TSC4745, please download the MCU from below link.

Step 4

Please prepare a USB flash drive, and format the USB flash drive to FAT32 on your computer.

Step 5

Copy the <update>.zip and <mcu>.bin to your USB flash drive root path, do not rename them, as picture shows.

Step 6

Connect the USB flash drive to the device, as picture shows.

Step 7

Follow steps Car Settings-Upgrade detection-System Upgrade-select the update.zip file, then the system will upgrade itself. The device will restart server times during the system upgrade. This step will take about 6 minutes.

Step 8

Follow steps Car Settings-System-MCU Upgrade-select the mcu.bin file, then the MCU will upgrade itself. The device will restart during the MCU upgrade. This step will take about 1 minutes.

Step 9

Update the figure shown.

Note:

The MCU upgrade may lead to the touch screen and touch panel not working correctly, please use your five fingers to long touch the screen and go to calibration mode to adjust the touch screen. And about the touch panel please follow steps settings-factory-8888-ok-touch learning button, in this way you can set it correctly.

The latest firmware are using Zlink as the Carplay default APK, if you are using Carletter before, please following:

Car Settings-Factory-8888 ok-35 phone link app-switch to Carletter- restart.
